The Philippine National ID is called PhilSys. It assigns a unique and randomly-generated 12-digit permanent identification number called PhilSys Number (PSN) to every citizen or resident alien upon successful registration. The PSN is tokenized as the PhilSys Card Number or PCN on the PhilID to protect the PSN from misuse and identity fraud. To apply for PhilSys, you need to log on to www.register.philsys.gov.ph, fill out all required fields, and submit your application form. Make sure to save a copy of your Application Reference Number or ARN and/or your QR code which shall be presented at the registration center.
